System Control I/O Modules

System Control I/O modules are used in modular systems like the CommSync II, CommSync II-D, GSync and GSync II to provide remote control and monitoring. In addition, they accept external synchronization input for DTF (Distribution Time and Frequency) systems. Communication with the System Control modules is via an RS-232 or Ethernet interface. Ethernet versions also provide control and monitoring via the Zyfer Monitor GUI as well additional functionality such as NTP, SNTP and PTP.

RS-232 I/O Module with 1PPS BNC Output

Bi-directional RS-232 interface for remote control and monitoring. One 9 pin DE-9 and two BNC connectors. The DE-9 connector contains one RS-232 bi-directional serial port and two hardware status output signals, (Alarm and Ready). BNC connectors provide a TTL 1 PPS output. Two status LED’s.

RS-232 Module with 1 PPS & 1, 5 & 10MHz BNC External Inputs

External synchronization input for DTF systems, one 9 pin DE-9 and two BNC connectors. The DE-9 connector contains one RS-232 bi-directional serial port and two hardware status output signals, (Alarm and Ready). BNC connectors receive 0.7 Vpp to 10 Vpp sine or square wave reference inputs from the user for DTF-based systems. Two status LED’s.
